■A simple newspaper advertising changed the course of my life.
My journey began in 2001, when I read a job posting for mechanical design engineers in Japan. The concept of “working in Japan” was novel and thrilling to me. With the support of my family, I applied for the job and relocated to Japan to pursue a career as a as a mechanical design engineer for a major electronics manufacturer and subsequently as a project Manager for an automobile manufacturer.

■Inception and Journey of SunWell Solutions
In 2010, we established our staffing firm, SunWell Solutions in central Yokohama and as we are determined to build a reputation for being different, innovative, and memorable we gradually expanded by setting up branches across Japan serving a diverse range of industries such as Oil and Gas, Automotive and IT.

Initially, when Sunwell was founded, the company lacked trust and was frequently turned down for dispatching foreign personnel. When we eventually succeeded in our placements after numerous attempts, the Great East Japan Earthquake compelled all international engineers to return to their home countries, and we were back to square one. However, by deligently explaining the benefits of recruiting international engineers in Japanese companies and educating foreign engineers about cultural differences between Japan and their home countries, the number of recruits increased gradually. In 2023, SUNWELLs celebrated its 13th anniversary, and the company currently employs more than 400 foreign engineers.
