インド タミル・ナドゥ州首相M. K. スターリン氏をリーダーとする投資誘致団の訪日に伴い、サンウェルは同州のジャパンデスクとして一行の大阪、東京における講演会、交流会、日本企業との面談などをはじめとする全面的なサポートを提供いたしました。
タミル・ナドゥ州はインドの南東に位置し、全インドGDPのうち8%以上のシェアを占め、インドの州としては2番目に大きな経済規模を誇ります。日本からは日産自動車、ヤマハ発動機、東芝、三菱電機、日揮などが進出しており、最近は米アップルの「iPhone」生産拠点としても注目を集めています。
大阪と東京で開催された講演会で首相は日本企業に対し製造業だけではなく、インフラ整備にも日本からの投資を歓迎すると発言。同州チェンナイで2024年に開催予定の投資促進イベントへの参加も呼びかけました。
サンウェル代表のユガナンダンは同州出身でチェンナイに現地法人、システム会社、日本語学校を展開しており、今後も日本とタミル・ナドゥ州の橋渡し役としてより一層尽力して参ります。

Support for the visit of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and his delegation to Japan.
On the occasion of a visit to Japan by an investment promotion delegation led by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Tamil Nadu, India, Mr. M. K. Stalin, As the State’s Japan Desk, Sunwell provided full support to the delegation in Osaka and Tokyo, including Investment Seminar, Networking Event and Meetings with Japanese companies.
Tamil Nadu is located in the south-east of India and has the second largest economy of any Indian state, with a share of more than 8% of the total Indian GDP. Japanese companies such as Nissan, Yamaha Motor, Toshiba, Mitsubishi Electric and JGC have established operations in the state, and it has recently attracted attention as a production base for the Apple iPhone.
In his speeches in Osaka and Tokyo, the Chief Minister told Japanese companies that he welcomes Japanese investment not only in manufacturing but also in infrastructure development. He also called for participation in an investment promotion event scheduled to be held in Chennai in 2024.
Sunwell representative Uganandan Subramanian is from the state and has a local subsidiary in Chennai, a systems company and a Japanese language school, and will continue to make further efforts to act as a bridge between Japan and Tamil Nadu.
